Martello were appointed to undertake Employer’s Agent services by English Rural for this project at Foxbury Farm, Stone Street, Seal.
Working with Principal Contractor Kentish Projects Ltd, the project was completed on 14th April 2023.
The project was a select development of 21 homes, including an Oast House and Farmhouse conversion, being undertaken by Kentish Projects Ltd, with English Rural acquiring 6 new build dwellings for affordable rent. The homes are a mixture of one-bedroom flats and two and three-bedroom houses, and are finished in traditional Kentish Ragstone externally.
Air source heat pumps were installed to the properties, to reduce the carbon footprint of the properties, by using a natural source of renewable energy.

Foxbury Farm is in the secluded hamlet of Stone Street, perfectly set between the North Downs and the forested landscapes of the Greensand Ridge. This is another example of English Rural building new community led affordable homes in village locations in their quest to support local communities.
The high specification project took six months to complete and it included significant upgrading of all the heating and lighting within the building. Environmental considerations were incorporated into the refurbishment programme including the installation of air source heat pumps and a Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) that allows lighting to use a digital signal for more precise and flexible control.

Martello Building Consultancy were appointed by Folkestone & Hythe District Council/Creative Folkestone to act as Employer’s Agent for this project in Payers Park, Folkestone. The project was to bring a dilapidated piece of land back into use in Folkestone Creative Quarter as a public park and art installation as part of the 2014 Folkestone Triennial.
