Having worked for Dover District Council on a number of projects in recent years,
the team at Martello Building Consultancy were very pleased to be awarded the contract
in September, to act as Employer’s Agent on a project to deliver six properties for
affordable housing on a site at St Richards Road in Deal.
The six properties, comprising two 2-bedroom houses and two 3-bedroom houses for
affordable rent and two 2-bedroom houses for shared ownership are part of the Section
106 planning agreement for the wider development that is taking place on the site.
Work has already commenced on the development and last week our team undertook a
site visit to evaluate the excellent progress being made by the Principal Contractor ATS Homes Ltd.
The six properties are being purchased by Dover District Council via an off the shelf
arrangement with the developer and will be an excellent addition to the growing portfolio
of affordable housing stock available across the district.
